I'm Becky Allen and my passion for reflexology started in my twenties when I travelled around South East Asia. There, and in other parts of the world, complementary therapies are seen as preventative forms of health care that keep the body in balance. Reflexology is a holistic therapy that focuses on unblocking toxins and releasing energy from the systems of the body by pressing various points on "mini body maps" found on the feet, hands or face.
I hold a BA (Hons) PGCE, ITEC Level 3 Reflexology Diploma, First & second Degree Reiki and certificates in Hand Reflexology, Facial Reflexology, Hot Stone Reflexology, Baby & Toddler Reflexology, AromaReflex, Cancer Care Reflexology and Indian Head Massage. I am a member of the FHT professional body and am fully insured through Hiscocks.
As a fan of all things holistic I feel extremely lucky to have a job I love! In my spare time you'll find me crafting, sea swimming, exploring the great outdoors with family and friends and travelling whenever I get the chance.

How can Reflexology help you?
The benefits of reflexology include its ability to stimulate nerve function, increase energy, boost circulation, aid relaxation, eliminate toxins and leave your body feeling balanced.
There are 7,000 nerve endings in your feet! Reflexology will strengthen your immune system and breathe life into your body, making you feel balanced, positive and full of energy!
Although I cannot diagnose medical conditions, I can hopefully help relieve the symptoms of many medical problems.
Reflexology is for everyone! You don't need to have a health concern to come along for a treatment. Reflexology will maintain your good health and boost your immune system and energy levels.
What to expect from your Reflexology treatment
During your first treatment I will fill out a detailed consultation form which covers areas of your health and lifestyle. This will help me build up a picture of how I can offer you the best possible treatment.
The only things you will need to remove in a reflexology session are your shoes and socks. My treatment room, based at my home in Christchurch, offers a relaxing environment.
The treatment will begin with a warm up massage followed by the reflexology routine. This will be bespoke, focusing on all the body's systems whilst paying particular attention to any specific needs identified on your consultation form.
You will receive holistic aftercare advice after each treatment in order to prolong the effects. This includes information on general wellbeing and reflexology hand points for you to try at home.

How can Reiki help you?
Since my first session with my Reiki Master I have absolutely loved having Reiki in my life! I had no idea what a powerful force it was; and how it could enrich me in so many ways, just by me knowing it was there to support me...like a little holistic cheerleader!
Originating in Japan by Dr Usui, Reiki uses universal life force energy for a simple, natural, relaxing and healing treatment.
The intention of Reiki is to stimuate and assist the natural healing process. It is a peaceful treatment, which helps restore a sense of balance and wellbeing within the mind and body.
Chakras can be linked with Reiki. The seven main chakras: crown, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral and root refer to energy points in our bodies. These spinning heels of energy should be open and alligned in order to bring balance and harmony to the body, mind and spirit.
Your relaxation will be supported by theraputic sounds from a Tibetan singing bowl and bespoke tuning forks as an introduction to your Reiki journey.
During your treatment hand placements will either gently touch or lightly hover just above you at various points, transfering healing Reiki energy.
You may feel a slight tingling, heat, energy or nothing at all. The sensations are not a measure of Reiki, they are just how your body senses the energy. Reiki brings a sense of relaxation and peace. Your mind may feel calm and your physical body relaxed. It's ok to fall asleep during your treatment and you will still feel the benefit.
Your treatment will come to a close the way it began wth some gentle sound bathing and some guided breathing.

Traditional Foot Reflexology

AromaReflex

AromaReflex combines the wonderful effects of Reflexology with the powers of Aromatherapy. Your treatment begins with a cleansing foot spa whilst I mix a bespoke blend of essential oils depending on your needs. Throughout the treatment the oils will soak into your system, leaving you with a feeling of total wellbeing. As an additional treat you get to take the rest of your balm tin home to prolong the effects of your treatment.
Holistic Ritual Reflexology
1 hour - £40
A luxurious reflexology treatment which combines reflexology, aromatherapy, sound bathing and crystals. A chakra balancing essential oil blend of your choice is added to your foot balm; A rose quartz Gua Sha, chakra stones & crystals will be used during the treatment which will promote emotional & spiritual cleansing & balance. Bespoke tuning forks will open up your energy channels and support relaxation.
Reiki-Reflex

The ultimate inner winner of holistic treatments! Starting at your crown enjoy a chakra focused Reiki routine which will flow into a relaxing foot massage & Reflexology treatment. Crystals are a wonderful addition to Reiki treatments, and their vibrations can absorb any negative energy; promoting emotional and spiritual healing.
Reiki-AromaReflex

The use of hot stones in healing treatments has been around for thousands of years. Their use is based on the principle that heat relaxes your body at its deepest level.
Holistic Womens' Health
Reflexology can benefit all sorts of womens health issues, supporting hormone balance and wellbeing. From birth to puberty, to pregnancy, to menopause and all the years inbetween.
Because the level of hormones in the blood varies throughout the menstrual cycle, and the fact that the hormonal system is very easily upset by many factors including stress, it is hardly surprising that many women experience issues with their reproductive system at some point in their lives.
Every client is different and I'm passionate about providing a bespoke service for all; wether that's a safe space to chat or simply to relax during your treatment.

Menopause Support
During the menopause reflexology works by regulating the hormones and glandular functions of the body. It can help to alleviate and balance both the physical and emotional systems. By working with the hypothalamus and pituitary, reflexology can help to restore balance to the endocrine system. This in turn can alleviate menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes. By calming the central nervous system, sleep disturbances can also be alleviated and anxiety and stress levels reduced. Regulating calcium and phosphorous levels in the thyroid gland can help with maintaining bone density. Reflexology also helps the ovaries to regulate their oestrogen and the uterus to maintain its natural health and flexibility.

Pregnancy
It is safe to enjoy reflexology after the first 12 weeks of pregnancy right up to your delivery date. GP/Midwife consent needed.
Postnatal
Postnatal reflexology can be highly beneficial for new mums. It can encourage milk production, balance hormones and boost the immune system following pregnancy and birth. The perfect excuse to spend an hour indulging in some deep relaxation before returning to the challenges of motherhood.
Cancer Care Reflexology
A cancer diagnosis, at any stage in life, comes as a huge blow; and brings with it a wide range of emotions to deal with even before the physical treatment begins. Heightened levels of stress, anxiety, pain, nausea and worry can affect both the patient and their family, friends and carers. While modern medicine can help to relieve some of these symptoms, research into the benefits of integrated care are leading many people to look at other avenues to help along their journey.
There is no scientific evidence to support the use of reflexology as a treatment for cancer. However it can help to alleviate aches and pains as well as reduce stress, anxiety, and aid relaxation.

Having been part of both my Dad and a close friends cancer support, I understand that everyones journey is different. I respect the fact that although you may have cancer you shouldn't be defined by it.
Depending on your needs I offer appointments at my treatment room, in the comfort of your own home or in a hospice/hospital setting.
